What is home health care?
In the simplest of terms, home health care can range from skilled nursing vistis to specialized medical services, all done in the patients home.
Who qualifies for home health care?
A person may be eligible for home health care if their primary doctor prescribes it, there is a need for skilled nursing or therapy, and the individual’s condition makes it difficult to leave home (also known as being “homebound”).
Who pays for home health care?
Home health care costs are usually covered by Medicare, Medicaid, or private insurances.
How long will I receive care for?
Depending on the condition of the patient the doctor will decide how long, how often, and how many visits you will receive.
When will visits start?
Home health care starts as soon as possible! Once our office receives the referral you should expect a visit from one of our registered nurses within two days.
